Welcome to Canaan Lions Club’s Motocross Season

Welcome to the Canaan Lions Club’s motocross season.

The gate fee for spectators is $10 for ages 7 through adult. Children 4 and under are admitted free of charge. Practice is $25 and Races are $35 with discounts applied for more than one race. See Documents for more information.

All racebikes must stay in the main parking area on race day. Bicycles are allowed.

All dogs must remain on a leash at all times.NO ALCOHOL due to liability concerns. THIS WILL BE ENFORCED! NO GLASS CONTAINERS PLEASE PLEASE! Use the trash receptacles in your area and pick up your area before you leave.

Chappy’s Concessions at the Fish & Game Club kitchen will be open at 6:00 a.m. on race day with coffee and breakfast and will remain open for the day. Hot dogs, burgers, fries, ice cream, soda, sausage, steak & cheese, etc., will be available for purchase.

Pricing

  • Season Pass: $65
  • Day Pass: $15
  • Race Entry Fees:
    • 1st Class: $35
    • 2nd Class: $30
    • Each Additional Class: $25
  • Gate Fee: $10 per person (Under 4 is free)

Saturday Practice (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

  • Practice Fee for riders is $25. Every member of your party (including the rider) will be charged a $10 gate fee for Sunday (under 4 free).
  • Refundable Wristband Policy: If you leave before 4:00 PM on Saturday and you are not coming back on Sunday, you will get your $10 back.

Sunday Race Day

  • Gate Fee: $10 per person (Under 4 free)
  • Schedule:
    • Registration: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM
    • Riders Meeting: 8:45 AM (sharp)
    • Practice: 9:00 AM
    • Racing Starts: 10:00 AM

Revised Schedule

This is our revised schedule. We may do a big trophy race or two, we are still trying to make it make sense. We are working on a few surprises this season, we will post some big announcements when we finalize some things!

For our non race bike folks, Stacyc and pitbike racers, we race 10 laps on this track that is highlighted in black. It is Hand scored. You do not need a transponder for those classes. Start studying those lines!!!

New flyers coming to a motorcycle shop etc. you’ll notice some tweaks to our schedule. Nothing crazy. We switched our very popular NH/VT showdown so it doesn’t conflict with VT races. We added an alumni race May 25th. We are thinking two classes. Two motos each (4) laps.

First class will be, alumni beginning of time to 1999.
Second class, alumni 2000-2019.

We are working on getting special guests. I will have this post on the Canaan NH Lions Motocross Riders Forum, tag someone who. Might want to race. It’s not a lot of notice, but I wanted to hold this event when it’s not 110 degrees for some of our finer aged riders.

We have had a great response from first time riders, please don’t be shy. Reach out and ask questions, make plans and don’t be nervous to lean on us for what’s next. Our first practice is May 3rd, we will also have a bike/ gear sale that day. Our season starts May 11th with all kinds of fun things. We will have a mother child pit bike race. First prize is a free season of racing. This includes gate fees for Mom and rider. Practice fees and 1 free race for 7 race weekends for your rider. Runner up prizes in the works.

We are also looking for a head flagger (finish line). We need two folks who want to be in charge of watering. This would entail using the irrigation system. As always we need flaggers and volunteers to help with all different jobs. Please reach out. All jobs are 18+.
